James Christopher “Jimmy” Koch, 46, of New Palestine, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014 at his residence.
He was born December 11, 1967 in Indianapolis, the son of James R. Koch and Carolyn (Mosiman) McNamara.
Jimmy is survived by his father of Carmel; mother and step-father, Dale McNamara, of Fountaintown; sister, Dana Fields and husband, Chris, of Shelbyville; aunt, Leslie Glidewell of Fayetteville, Georgia, Jane Hobbs and husband, John, of Mount Angel, Oregon and Karen McNamara of Fountaintown; uncles, Larry Koch and wife, Carol, of Indianapolis and David Koch and wife, Carla, of Brownsburg; several cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Marcia Koch; and uncles, Delbert McNamara and Tom Glidewell.
Jimmy graduated from Morristown High School in 1986.
He attended Fountaintown Christian Church.
Jimmy was employed as a United Association Local 440 BTJ Steamfitter and was initiated on June 22, 1993. He was currently employed at BMWC Constructors.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his Harley. Jimmy also enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts and NASCAR.
Jimmy also leaves behind his precious dogs, Dinky and Willy.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the funeral home.
Interment will be at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine.
