James E. "Jim" Creech, 51, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, April 9, 2005, at Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis.
Born April 26, 1953, in Fayette County, he was the son of Orval and Mae L. (Cardinal) Creech. He married Mary Beth Reidman on March 16, 1975, and she survives.
Other survivors include his mother, of Connersville; one daughter, Alexis (fiance, Mike Doran) Creech of Indianapolis; one son, Chris (wife, Tiffany) Creech of Franklin; three brothers, Clyde Creech of Bentonville, Bob Creech of Pembroke, Ga., and Rick Creech of Cambridge; and two grandchildren, Gauge Creech and Eden Creech.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Creech lived most of his life in Glenwood, moving to Shelbyville six months ago.
He was a main technician with Interstate Brands Corp., in Columbus, for 19 years,
Mr. Creech graduated in 1971 from Connersville High School.
He was a member of basketball leagues in Connersville, Greensburg, Rushville and Columbus.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Funeral Home, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Cremation will follow.
