James Edward "Jim" Sanders, 50, of Paoli, passed away April 25, 2010. He was born January 19, 1960 in Indianapolis.
Mr. Sanders was an avid outdoorssman and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting on his southern Indiana property near Lake Patoka. He was employed for many years as a heating and air conditioning technician. Mr. Sanders spend his last days providing convalescent care for his mother and step-father. He was a graduate of North Central High School in Indianapolis.
Survivors include his mother, Kathleen (Sanders) Bagley of Shelbyville; step-father, J. William Bagley of Shelbyville; brothers, Vincent (Sue) Sanders of Greenfield, Russ (June) Sanders of Shelbyville, and Scott (Theresia) Sanders of Indianapolis; sisters, Margaret (Sam) Tedrowe of Indianapolis, Nancy (Mark) McNeely of Shelbyville, Kathie (Mike) Scherrer of Fishers, and Mary (Richard) Harris of Avon; sister-in-law, Sara (Ed) Moody of Shelbyville; 24 nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell J. Sanders, Jr.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 30 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 12 noon, Friday, April 30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St. in Shelbyville, with Father Chris Craig officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
