James G. Westerfield

James G. Westerfield, 87, of Sun City, Ariz., died April 30, 2005. Born Nov. 2, 1917, in Morristown, he was the son of the late J. Glen and Sarah (Miller) Westerfield. He married Marcia Andis, and she preceded him in death in 1996. Survivors include three cousins, Mary Jane Lisher of Bradenton, Fla., John Westerfield and Gretchen (husband, Don) Turner, both of Shelbyville. Mr. Westerfield was a lifelong Morristown resident and area farmer, until retiring to Arizona. He was very active in the Republican Party during the 1960s and 1970s. Mr. Westerfield graduated from Morristown High School. He was a member of Morristown Christian Church, in Morristown, and Elks Club, in Sun City. He was a former member of Eagles Lodge and Elks Club, in Shelbyville, and past president and member of Morristown Lions Club. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Asbury Cemetery, in Morristown. Carmony-Ewing Funeral Homes is handling the arrangements.
