James "Jim" Dwain Losey

January 17, 1958 — June 21, 2010

James "Jim" Dwain Losey, 52, of Flat Rock, passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 at his residence. Born January 17, 1958, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Glen C. and Jeanne (Knowlton) Losey. He married Maureen Richardson on July 1, 1981, and she preceded him in death on October 3, 2004. Survivors include his mother of Shelbyville; daughter, Stacy Watson of Trafalgar; son, Wade Fox of Georgia; sisters, Brenda Stull, Linda Losey and Judy Jones, all of Shelbyville and Denise (husband, David) McKenney of Indianapolis; brothers, David Losey of Greenfield, Michael Losey of Indianapolis and Daniel (wife, Crissy) Losey of Shelbyville; granddaughters, Branigan "Brandi" (husband, Scott) Quick and Melodey Tindall, both of Flat Rock; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his father; and infant sister, Peggy Losey. Mr. Losey was a lifelong Shelby County resident. He has been employed as a printer at Standard Register since 1980. Mr. Losey graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1976. He enjoyed playing softball, fishing, watching NASCAR and football, and spending time with his granddaughters. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in VanPelt Cemetery.
