Jan C. Kremer

Jan C. Kremer, 80, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, October 23, 2023, at Homeview of Franklin.

She was born April 12, 1943, in Henry County, Indiana, the daughter of Richard and Rebecca (Osborne) Scott.

Jan is survived by her sons, Christopher Elrod of Shelbyville, and Glen “Lee” Elrod of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Lindsay Elrod Lucas and husband, Bradley, Ashli Elrod and Tanner Elrod; great-grandchildren, Ashe Lucas, Aurora Lucas, Xander Lucas, Oakley Lucas and Abner Elrod; and her special friends, Peggy Franklin of Shelbyville, Sarah Kent of Waldron and Paula Schonfeld of Shelbyville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Todd S. Beaumont; and special friend, Jean Reese.

In 1961, Jan graduated from Shelbyville High School.

She was a buyer for William Industries for 35 years, retiring in 2014.

Jan was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She also leaves behind her dog, Chewy, and was preceded by Lily.

Graveside services will be at 1 pm, Friday, November 3, 2023, at Forest Hill Cemetery, 704 Morris Avenue in Shelbyville.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
