Janeen "Jan" Hardebeck, 63, of Shelbyville passed away Monday, April 4, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born May 18, 1947, in Anderson, she was the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth (Trusler) DeArmond. She married Jack Hardebeck on January 14, 1967, and he survives.
Other survivors include her daughters, Debora (husband, William) Guffey of Arlington and Tamara (fiance', Jody Bailey) Hardebeck of Shelbyville; son, Jeffrey (wife, Laura) Hardebeck of Gwynneville; sister, Francine (husband, Ronald) Woeber of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Eddie Guffey, Courtney Hardebeck, Destiny Hardebeck, Nicholas Hix, Kaleigh Hix and Brennan Bailey; great-grandchildren, Cameron Bell and Serenity Bell.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Hardebeck had been a resident of Shelby County for 44 years.
She graduated from Emmerick Manual High School in Indianapolis in 1965.
Mrs. Hardebeck retired as a group claims auditor for One America Insurance co., in 2010, following 27 years of employment.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and ABATE.
Jan enjoyed reading, crafts, camping, nature and riding a motorcycle with her husband.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Friday, April 8, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the funeral home.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Shelbyville.
