Janet L. Hodge

Janet L. Hodge, 69, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, August, 30, 2007 at Major Hospital. Born April 4, 1938, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Henry W.W. and Opal M. (Routier) Hamilton. She married Don Hodge on April 28, 1957, and he survives. Other survivors include her mother of Fairland, three daughters, one son, four brothers, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father. Mrs. Hodge was a homemaker and formerly a bookkeeper. She graduated from Moral Touwnship High School in 1956. Mrs.Hodge was a member of the New Life United Methodist Church in Fairland. She was called grammy. She loved gardening, her family and grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Home, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randall Slavens officiating. Burial will be in London Cemetery in London.
