Janette E. Maple Young, 61, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at Major Hospital.
Born Oct. 26, 1944, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Ralph E. and Norma J. (Barnhill) Stocklin. She married Stephen A. Maple, and he preceded her in death. She married Rex W. Young on Nov. 14, 1997, and he survives.
Other survivors include her father, of Franklin; one daughter, Shelley Bleke of Whiteland; one son, Brent (wife, Barbara) Maple of Southport; one stepson, Rex Brad Young of Edinburgh; two brothers, David (wife, Susan) Stocklin of Franklin and Sam (wife, Glenna) Stocklin of Shelbyville; and four grandchildren, Anna Bleke, Zachary Bleke, Tyler Bleke and Andrew Maple.
She also was preceded in death by her mother and one grandson, Matthew Maple.
Mrs. Young was a lifelong Shelbyville resident.
She was a homemaker and previously was employed at Ross?s Greenhouse and Nursery and the Specialty Connector Corp.
Mrs. Young graduated in 1962 from Southwestern High School.
She attended New Life Fellowship.
Mrs. Young baby-sat and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Broadway Chapel, 232 W. Broadway St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Boggstown Cemetery, Boggstown.
