Jayne A. Werking

Jayne Ann Werking, 74, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006. Born April 27, 1932, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Earl T. and Iris (McKay) Martin. She married Richard ?Ric? Werking on June 28, 1953, and he survives. Other survivors include her stepmother, Mary Martin of Shelbyville; one son, Dr. Mark K. Werking of Peoria, Ill.; one brother, James Martin of Arlington; one half brother, Thomas Martin of Englewood, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Jenna Werking and Megan Werking. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Werking had lived in Shelbyville since 1986. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Werking had attended DePauw University. She was a member of Arlington Christian Church and Tri Delta sorority. She formerly attended Shelbyville First Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary W. Huffman officiating. Interment will be in Raleigh Zion Cemetery in Rush County.
