Jeannine Rowe Leming, 88, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at her residence.
She was born August 5, 1929, in Shelby County, the daughter of Forrest Rowe and Catherine (Hohn) Dale. On July 29, 1948, she married Robert D. “Nick” Leming, and he preceded her in death on May 28, 2007.
Jeannine is survived by her sons, Robert Leming and wife, Christine, of Shelbyville, and Kris Leming and wife, Nancy, of Indianapolis; daughter, Lee Ann Haehl and husband, Danny, of Shelbyville; sister, Elizabeth J. Smith of Saratoga, California; grandchildren, Shawn Leming, Cole Leming, Brittney Leming, Nicholas Haehl, Jordan Haehl, Melissa Dunigan, Aaron Leming and Matthew Leming; and great-grandchildren, Brennan Lee Haehl, McKenzie Rene Haehl, Bentley Kyle Elliott, Aryia Kemple, Trinity Harman and Everett Haehl.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Kyle Justin Leming.
Jeannine graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1947.
She was the manager of social activities at Heritage House, with over 15 years of service.
Jeannine enjoyed playing bridge and Tripoli.
She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed crafting.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2018 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
