Jeffery Wayne John, 44, a lifelong Shelbyville resident, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
He was born December 13, 1970, in Shelbyville, the son of Larry Edward Sr. and Patricia May (Goforth) John.
Jeff is survived by his father, Larry Edward John Sr. and wife, Jean, of Shelbyville; mother, Patricia May Huff and husband, Jim, of Ash Grove, Missouri; son, Kiefer John and his girlfriend, Angel Whitham and her son, Adien of Shelbyville; grandmother, Charlene John of Shelbyville; sisters, Sheri Yarling and husband, Chris, of Fountaintown and Brenda Sue Seaborn of Shelbyville; brother, Larry E. John Jr. and wife, Jessie, of Manilla; step-sister, Julie McMichael and husband, Ted, of Greenfield; step-brother, Scott Morgan and wife, Becky, of Knightstown; nieces, Katie John and Tabitha Crisman; nephews, Zach Crisman and wife, Rachel, and Colt Andry; step-nephew, Ross McMichael; step-niece, Carie McMichael; two great-nephews and one great-niece.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Clarence and Edith Goforth; and paternal grandfather, Frank John.
Jeff graduated from Morristown High School in 1990.
He attended Little Blue River Baptist Church.
Jeff was a construction supervisor for Indiana Department of Transportation for 22 years.
He enjoyed boating, four wheeling and camping. He loved farming with his father and son.
Jeff loved life, family and his many friends. He had a giving nature, a good heart and wanted the best for everyone. Jeff was always ready for the adventures life brought his way.
He also leaves behind his dogs, Harley and Rocky.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral homes, with Pastor David Lee officiating.
