Jeremy F. Hilt, 54, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Vandalia Park Nursing Home in Vandalia, Ohio.
Born January 15, 1953, in Seymour, he was the son of Gilbert and Marjorie (Han) Hilt.
Survivors include his father of Shelbyville; daughter, Lisa Hilt of Boston, Mass; sons, Philip Hilt, Adam Hilt and Curtis Hilt, all of Rushville; brother, Christopher Hilt of Flagstaff, Ariz., Eric (wife, Barbara) Hilt and Jonathan (wife, Sheila) Hilt, both of Shelbyville; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Mr. Hilt graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1971 and Vincennes University in 1973 before pursuing a career in drafting.
He was a former Eagle Scout.
Mr. Hilt loved animals and was gifted art, playing the guitar and restoring classic cars.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Flatrock Cemetery in Flat Rock.
