Jesse Earl Shull, 73, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville.
He was born August 1, 1944, in Elwood, the son of Burgess K. and Elva Francis (Miller) Shull.
Jesse is survived by his special friend, Danny Suiter and his family, of Shelbyville; sisters, Barbara C. Avery and husband, Fred, of Batesville, and Ruth M. Lum and husband, Doug, of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Burgess M. Shull.
Jesse graduated from Wendell L. Willkie High School in Elwood, and attended Ball State University.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elwood, since 1956. Jesse currently attended Trinity Methodist Church in Walkerville.
Jesse was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War, receiving two purple hearts.
He formerly worked as a skilled machine operator for County Mark Co-Op, with 27 years of service.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Rev. Seth Taylor officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
