Jimmie R. Watson, Sr.

Jimmie Ray Watson, Sr., 57, of Shelbyville, left this life May 9, 2013 at the VA hospital in Beckley, West Virginia. He was born May 20, 1955 in McCreey County, Kentucky to Odus and Betty (Burchfield) Watson. He was preceded in death by his father; and a grandson, Jimmie Watson III. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother of Waldron; the “Love of his life”, Joanna Watson of Coal City, WV; eight children, Sharlene (husband, Anthony) Boles of Rushville, Jimmie (wife, Crystal) Watson of Shelbyville, Gloria Watson (companion, David Lilly) of Odd, WV, Cathie Watson, Jamie Watson, Jennifer (husband, Brandon) Sargent, all of Sophia WV, Johnnie Watson and Tonya (husband, Jeremy) Powers, both of Greensburg; 12 brothers and sisters; and 20 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel.
