Jimmy Wayne Shelton, 60, of Martinsville, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis.
He was born January 24, 1954, in Shelbyville, the son of Gene and Marie (Morrison) Shelton.
Survivors include his companion of over 20 years, Sue Coy of Martinsville; sons, Jimmy Shelton Jr. and wife, Carrie of Bargarsville and Larry Shelton of Greenwood; daughters, Terri Cline of Shelbyville, Jaima Ramsey and Crystal Atkins, both of Martinsville; brothers, Mike Shelton and Jeff Shelton, both of Leesburg, Florida; sisters, Shannon Johnson of Fairland, Francis “Cookie” Johns of Indianapolis and Shirley Shelton Gray of Largo, Florida; grandchildren, Madison Shelton, Jadelyn Cline, Gracie Bardsdale, Levi Shelton, Tyler Ramsey, Alyssa Ramsey, Kelsey Atkins and Katie Atkins; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Norman Shelton.
Jimmy attended Triton Central High School.
He was formerly an electrician for Geiger and Peters and Amtrak.
Jimmy loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. He also enjoyed working with his hands, doing building, drawing and designing.
A gathering of friends will be from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Boggstown Presbyterian Church, 2488 N. Sand Creek Road, Boggstown, Indiana 46110.
A Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Interment will be at Boggstown Cemetery in Boggstown.
Services were entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
