Joan H. Inlow, 79, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2007 at her residence. Born November 4, 1928, in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was the daughter of Roscoe and Ethel (Zipf) Hitchcock. She married Dr. Paul M. Inlow on September 8, 1948, and he survives. Other survivors include sons, David Inlow of Durango, Colo., and Drs. Mark (wife, Jennifer) Inlow of Terre Haute, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Bechert. Mrs. Inlow graduated in 1946 from Shelbyville High School. She was formerly a legal secretary and had taught Sunday school at the First Methodist Church. Mrs. Inlow was a member of Tri Kappa, PEO, History Club, Red Cross and WI-HUB. No visitation is planned. Private family services will be held at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelby County Cancer Association, 126 N. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176, or to the donor's favorite charity.
