Joan M. Logan, 74, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at Major Hospital in Shelbyville. She was born August 30, 1941, in Bartholomew County, the daughter of Earl and Naomi (Mullis) Pittman. Joan is survived by her sons, Tony Logan and wife, Crystal, of Shelbyville, Roger Logan and wife, Shannon, of St. Paul, and Chris Logan and wife, Nicole, of Tracy, California; sister, Joyce Lockard of Avon; brothers, Terry Pittman and wife, Jackie, and John Pittman, both of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Anthony Jared “AJ” Logan, Tyler Baur, Conner Baur, Shayleigh Berkheimer, Jayden Logan, Kya Logan, Brydan Logan and Ivyn Logan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Pittman; and brothers, Ralph Pittman, Robert Pittman and Jerry Pittman. Joan was a homemaker and a private in home care aide, retiring in 2015. She enjoyed working crossword and Sudoku puzzles and playing card games with her family. Joan loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Chaplain Vey Kidney officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 931 E. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46240.
