Joan R. Bond

Joan R. Bond, 80, Ingalls, passed Thursday, April 29, 2009, at Regency Place, Greenfield. She was born February 12, 1929 in Bedford, Indiana to Russell Dawson Baker and Ruby Violet (Lavender) Baker. She married Lawrence Cecil "Bud" Bond on May 11, 1968, and he preceded her in death. She is survived by sons, Kenny (Linda) Brunner of England and Curt Brunner of North Vernon; daughters, Marsha (Thomas) Updegraff of Lubbock, Texas and Carolyn Sweeney of Morristown; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and sister, Anne (Robert) Keane of Mitchell, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Gail Lloyd; grandsons, Steven Brunner and Tracy Beckley; granddaughter, Lori Miller; brothers, Jerry Baker and Reed Baker; and sister, Helen Baker. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009 with Pastor John Davis officiating at Asbury Cemetery, Morristown, with burial there. Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Junction Gang Camp. Services entrusted to Frazier Chapel of Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Morristown.
