Joel Gregory Bayless

Joel Gregory Bayless, 62, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017. He was born July 15, 1954, in Shelbyville, the son of Joel Harrison “Harry” and Lavinna F. (Carpenter) Bayless. Joel is survived by his mother of Gilbert; sister, Jennifer Bayless of Gilbert; and companion, Lani M. Hammond. He was preceded in death by his father; and sister, Machelle Good. Joel graduated from Triton Central High School and graduated from Arizona State University. He formerly worked at Wells Fargo and Salt River Project. For the past 23 years, he has worked as a program engineer at Intel. Joel loved riding his motorcycle and going on hikes. Graveside rites will be at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Gilbert/Mesa, Arizona. Local arrangements were entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S.
