Joseph D. "Joe" Bond, 63 of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born July 12, 1947, he was the son of Robin L. and Dorothy A. (Threlkeld) Bond.
Survivors include his son, Victor (wife, Maria) Bond of McCordsville, daughter, Barbara (husband, Jeff) Weaver of Shelbyville; brothers, Victor F. (wife, Kathy) Bond of Indianapolis, David H. (wife, Janie) Bond of Lebanon and Timothy W. (wife, Sharon) Bond of Greenfield; sister, Emily Ann (husband, San) Harness of New Port Richey, Florida; grandchildren, Cory (husband, Rodni) Overcash of Salisbury, North Carolina, Britney (husband, Eli) Veach, Brandyn Weaver, Chelsea Waver, Austin Hankins and Cameron Hankins, all of Shelbyville, Teresa Bond and Trevor Bond, both of McCordsville; great-grandchildren, Hailee Cassels, Shia Veach and Zepplin Overcash.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Christopher Robin Bond.
Mr. Bond lived in Felton, California, for approximately 30 years before moving to Greenfield.
He was the owner of A-1 New and Used Furniture in Greenfield and previously was a car wholesaler in the San Jose, California area.
Mr. Bond had attended Triton Central High School.
He collected clocks, watches and antiques.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. Carl Ewick officiating.
