Joseph Emil Aldridge, 56, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021, in Indianapolis.
He was born July 5, 1964, in Shelbyville, the son of Wendell Aldridge and Sue Ellen (Wilson) Anders.
Joe is survived by his sons, Joseph Aldridge Jr., Walter Cole Aldridge, and Sean Aldridge and wife, Brittanyann, all of Shelbyville; daughter, Adlen Antle of Shelbyville; step-father, Billy Anders of Shelbyville; sisters, Janet Hitchcock of Shelbyville, Amanda Tandy of Lafayette, and Angela Aldridge of Greenwood; granddaughter, Audrey Sue Aldridge; mother of his children, Susan Powers of Shelbyville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Brent Bostic.
Joe graduated in 1982 from Shelbyville High School and attended Purdue University for two years.
He was a construction superintendent.
Joe was an avid Purdue fan. He enjoyed coaching youth sports, golfing, camping and being near the water. He was truly born a traveling man.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2021, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Rev. Beth Crouch officiating.
Inurnment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
