Joseph T. Hack, 82, of Columbus, died Monday, July 31, 2006, at Hospice House North in Cape Coral, Fla.
Born Dec. 27, 1923, in Boggstown, he was the son of Oren and Elizabeth (Miller) Hack. He married Jean K. Butler on June 15, 1945, and she survives.
Other survivors include one son, Gregory B. Hack of Fort Myers, Fla.; one daughter, Anne Hack-Newby of Lawrenceburg, Ky.; one brother, Stephen E. Hack of Farmington Hills, Mich.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Mr. Hack had been a former resident of Boggstown and Shelbyville.
He had been self-employed.
Mr. Hack was a member of First Christian Church in Columbus.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Forest Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Horner officiating.
Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Chapels, 819 S. Harrison St., is handling the arrangements.
