Joyce Eileen Muldoon

Joyce Eileen Muldoon, 85, of Edinburgh, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus. She was born November 12, 1931, in Shelby County, the daughter of Leonard and Maude (Woods) Bland. On May 22, 1953, she married Donald “Irven” Muldoon, and he preceded her in death on October 2, 2005. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Marlene Muldoon and friend, Jim Perry, of Shelbyville; twin sister, Joan J. Pile of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Joyce graduated from Mount Auburn High School in 1949. She was a member of Mount Auburn Christian Church. Joyce enjoyed gardening, sewing and pets. She also leaves behind her pet cat, Nat. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Rev. Bryan Trotter officiating. Interment will be at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Shelby County.
