Joyce Elizabeth McDougalle

Joyce Elizabeth McDougalle, 81, of Fountaintown, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at her home.

She was born April 30, 1941, in Albany, Clinton County, Kentucky, the daughter of Oscar and Ida (Thurman) Riddle.  On August 12, 1966, she married Frederick O. McDougalle, and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2007.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Melissa K. Bowers of Fountaintown; sister, Hazel Davidson of Indianapolis; sister-in-law, Geraldine Riddle; grandchildren, Wyatt B. Guffey and Anjelica D. Nelson and husband, Jon; great-grandson, Zachary Guffey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to Frederick, Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marie A. "ReRe" McDougalle; brother, A. B. Riddle; and sisters, Nelda Norris and Wanda Garrett.

Joyce retired from the Kroger Dairy, with 24 years of service.

She enjoyed gardening and watching birds.

Joyce loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to Noon, Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St., in Morristown.

Funeral services will follow at Noon on Wednesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Tom Bartley officiating.

Interment will be at Washington Park East in Indianapolis.
