Juanita B. Lux

Juanita B. Lux, 78, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Major Hospital. Born Aug. 13, 1927, in Fort McClellan, Ala., she was the daughter of the late John W. and Goldie Mae (Voiles) Bray. She married Virgil E. Lux on June 24, 1948, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 2004. Survivors include six daughters, Pamela Lee, Kathy Gardner, Wendy Stephenson and Janie Bartlett, all of Shelbyville, Vickie Horner of Franklin and Debora Lux of Indianapolis; two sons, Leslie J. ?Butch? Lux and Randy J. Lux, both of Shelbyville; two sisters, Louise Browning of Shelbyville and Salina Mooney of Alameda, Calif.; sister-in-law, Bette Lux of Waldron; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Bray and William Bray. Mrs. Lux had been employed with Shelbyville High School and Tippecanoe Press, retiring in 1985. She graduated in 1945 from Columbus High School. Mrs. Lux was a volunteer at Major Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Anne Altar Society and St. Joe Social Club. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with the rosary recited at 7 p.m., at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St., Shelbyville, IN 46176; or St. Joseph Catholic School, 127 E. Broadway St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.
