Juanita Milie, 88, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, March 20, 2009, at Morristown Manor where she had resided for the past 8 years. She was born June 13, 1920 in Shelbyville to Roscoe and Maude (Beach) Colee who preceded her in death.
She Married Louis Milie on July 7, 1952 and he preceded July 3, 1978.
She was a homemaker and retired from the former Western Electric in Indianapolis in the late 1960's. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Surviving are sons Michael (Janna) Carr of Shelbyville and Jon (Janet) Carr of Columbus, Grandchildren Aaron, Casey,and Carrie Carr; Beth, Amy, and Brad Carr,and Great Grandchildren Alexa and Austin Carr. She also leaves sisters Betty Cocherham, Beaulah (Charles) Davis, Hazel (Louis) Cover, Rosemary Talbert, and Dorothy (Nicholas) Ciarletta. A brother, Forrest Colee preceded her in death.
Services will be Monday at 1:00 Pm at the Carmony-Ewing Chapel of Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison Street with visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday. Reverand Nathan Wilson will officate and burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetary.
