Judy A. Coers, 90, of Shelbyville, passed away, Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.
She was born March 8, 1923, in Rush County, the daughter of Harley and Myrtle M. (Jones) Spacey. She married Louie Coers in May of 1970, and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1987.
Survivors include her daughters, Camilla Britt and husband, Buddy, of Waldron, Nancy Bonanza of Hagerstown, Ann Tash, and husband, Jim, of Connersville; son, Wray Macy, and wife, Viva, of Cedar City, Utah; step-daughter, Renie Stephens of Illinois; sisters, Helen Wilson of Glenwood, Una Frasier of Greenville, NC and Joretta Gottlieb and husband, Al, of Crossville, TN; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bob Spacey, Eugene Spacey and Bill Spacey; and a granddaughter, Amy Linette Britt.
Judy graduated from Arlington High School in 1940.
She was a member of Crossroads Community Church.
Judy retired from RCA in 1983, after over 30 years of service.
She enjoyed crocheting and collecting dolls.
Judy loved to spend time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2014 and from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 at Crossroads Community Church, 475 Progress Parkway in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with Rev. Andy Lee officiating.
Interment will be at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Shelby County.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
