Julia A. Fix, 52, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus, after a long hard fought battle with cancer. Born February 27, 1957, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Donald "Zeke" and Betty Joan (Stoup) Cuzzort. She married Bradley E. Fix on July 5, 1975, and he survives. Other survivors include her sons, Cory (wife, Karin) Fix of Noblesville and Kyle Fix of Shelbyville; sisters, Connie Phillips, Sandy (husband, Kevin) Cradic and Beverly Hall, all of Shelbyville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Joan Fix of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Fix was a lifelong resident of Shelbyville. She owned and operated Julie's Cleaning Service. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, where she formerly served on the church council. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Linda Frische-Mouri officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Shelby County, 425 E. Washington St., Shelbyville, Indiana 46176; or Evangelical United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 360 S. Miller St., Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
