June Amelia Adams, 85, of Fowlerville, Michigan, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital in Howell, Michigan.
She was born March 3, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of William Samuel and Anna (Podamajerski) McNeill. She married James Adams in September of 1948, and he preceded her in death on November 3, 1992.
June is survived by her daughter, Nancy Mason and husband, Paul of Fowlerville, formerly of Shelbyville, and granddaughter, Jessica Oldfather of Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
Also surviving are her sisters, Jeanette Magno and husband, Joseph of Schaumburgh, Illinois, Loraine Madro of Shelbyville, Indiana and Jean Wieclawski of Chicago; and a brother, Dave McNeill of Chicago.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donald McNeill.
Mrs. Adams resided in Shelbyville most of her life.
She and her husband, James Adams owned and operated Collins Jewelers for 30 years in Shelbyville. After retirement, she worked part-time with her daughter at The Rivers Edge Fabric Co. in Shelbyville and Fowlerville.
Burial will be at a later date at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
