Justine D. Hamner

Justine Denera Hamner, 91, of Shelbyville, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, at Ashford Place Health Campus. Born Jan. 2, 1914, in Bengal, she was the daughter of the late Ruluff and Audrey (Stevens) Tucker. She married Marion S. Hamner, and he preceded her in death in 1991. Survivors include one son, Gary Hamner of Indianapolis; one sister, Patty Ann Bolen of Elizabethtown, Ky.; and two brothers, Paul Tucker and Dale Tucker, both of Shelbyville. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Erma Wheeler and Thelma Bausback; and two brothers, Beryl Tucker and Frank Tucker. Mrs. Hamner was a lifelong Shelby County resident. She was a homemaker and previously had been a manicurist at Inner Circle Salon. Mrs. Hamner graduated from Boggstown High School. She was a member of Bengal Christian Church. No visitation or funeral service are planned. Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Chapels, 819 S. Harrison St. is handling the cremation arrangements.
