Kathleen Fields, 92, of Shelbyville, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, at Heritage House Convalescent Center.
Born Feb. 14, 1914, in Brandywine Township, she was the daughter of Ira W.D. and Rose Anna (Bush) Fields.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Fields of California and Martha Fields of Greencastle; four nieces, Marcia (husband, Bob) Moore of Arizona City, Ariz., Dona (husband, Tom) Kern of Huachuca City, Ariz., Carolyn Joetta (husband, Floyd) Peterson of Tucson, Ariz., and Rosemary Krueg of California; three nephews, Robert (wife, Darlene) Fields of Tucson, Donald Fields of Greencastle and Howard Lee Fields of California; and several great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Russell Fields, Harry Fields, Bill Fields, Frank Fields, Ray Fields and Roy Fields; and twin infant siblings.
Ms. Fields was a resident of Fairland for most of her life.
She had been employed at the Fairland Post Office and for 41 years with the Elan Jay Garment Factory, retiring in 1976.
Ms. Fields was a member of Fairland United Methodist Church since 1926, and the Order of Eastern Star Fairland chapter.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Susan Davis officiating.
Interment will be in Fairland Cemetery in Fairland.
