Kathryn Collins

Kathryn Collins, 101, of Flat Rock passed away Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Major Hospital. Born April 9, 1908, in Indiana, she was the daughter of Joseph W. and Mary (Ewick) Dow. She married Alva Collins on September 29, 1935, and he preceded her in death on December 1, 1992. Survivors include her daughter, Sheila (husband, Jack) May of Flat Rock; granddaughter, Michelle Amiel; great-granddaughter, Michaela. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She and her husband formerly owned and operated Collins Jewelry Store in Shelbyville. No services will be observed. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
