Kathryn "June" Brandman

Kathryn June Brandman, 85, of Simmons Shores, Pottsboro, Texas, a former Shelbyville resident, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Texas Health and Presbyterian WNJ in Sherman, Texas. Born July 3, 1925, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Maurice and Sarah A. (Entrekin) Dake. She married David Brandman, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1989. Survivors include sons, J.D. Wailua Brandman of Honolulu, Hawaii and John Brandman of Pottsboro; brothers, Wendell Dake of Moral Township and William Dake of Clarksville; and granddaughters, April Stovall and Nichole Brandman. She also was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Wilma Cornett. Mrs. Brandman was a member of Lakeway Methodist Church in Pottsboro. No visitation is planned. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Acton Cemetery in Acton, with the Rev. Carl Coffey officiating.
