Kayla Diann Reynolds

Kayla Diann Reynolds, 30, of Carthage, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born August 4, 1992, in Franklin, the daughter of Brian Bray and Diann Parsley.  On May 1, 2014, she married Zachary Reynolds, and he survives.

In addition to Zachary, Kayla is survived by her father of  Franklin; mother of Nokomis, Florida; children, Dash Reynolds of Carthage, and Avalee Reynolds and Maylin Reynolds, both of Bargersville; sister, Savanna Dickey of Nokomis; brother, Brian “Kenny” Bray of Bradenton; maternal grandmother, Margaret Parsley of Sarasota; paternal grandparents, Glendal and Mary Bray of Grand Rivers, Kentucky; father-in-law, Gary Reynolds and wife, Diane, of Richmond; mother-in-law, Karen Mackey and husband, Steve, of Carthage; brother-in-law, William Reynolds and wife, Shellee, of Milton; sisters-in-law, Danielle Chavarria and husband, Alonso, of Beaufort, South Carolina, and Chelsea Kunkel and husband, Matt, of Barboursville, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Kayla graduated in 2011 from Franklin Community High School.

She loved caring for her family and enjoyed creating special memories with them, including family bar-b-ques to celebrate many special occasions.

Kayla loved her cats and dogs, Carly and Quinn. 

But most of all, Kayla loved being a mother to Dash, Avalee and Maylin, and a wife to Zachary.

A Gathering of Friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

The Celebration of Kayla’s life will follow at 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the education fund for the children, in care of Freeman Family Funeral Homes.
