Ken "Bill" Kaster, 65, of Shelbyville died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at his home.
Born April 1, 1942, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Carl William and Lenora Mae (Batton) Kaster. He married Linda Wilcoxon on March 18, 1967, and she survives.
Other survivors include his daughters, Christie (husband, Doug) Slinkard and Ann (husband, Chris) Clymer, both of Shelbyville, and Jennifer (husband, Andy) Ballard of Fairland; brothers, Kent (wife, Susan) Kaster of Shelbyville and Greg (wife, Mary) Kaster of Fairland; grandchildren, Nikki Hansen, Ryan Clymer, Corey Clymer, Amon Ballard, Ashston Ballard and Addie Ballard.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Kaster was a lifelong Shelbyville resident.
He was employed with Shelby County Farm Bureau and previously a Standard Oil agent for more than 40 years with Fairland Oil Co.
Mr. Kaster was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He was a former firefighter for Fairland Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Kaster graduated in 1960 from Triton High School.
He was a member of Fairland United Methodist Church.
Mr. Kaster loved riding his Honda and fishing and was a jack-of-all-trades.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Susan Davis officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, with military rites conducted by local veterans organizations.
