Kenneth L. “Kenny” Rasdall, Sr., 76, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at his residence surrounded by family.
He was born February 8, 1940, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the son of Ray and Lucelle (Brown) Rasdall. On September 14, 1962, he married his wife of 53 years, Norma “Susan” (Anderson) Rasdall, and she survives.
Kenny is also survived by his sons, Kenny Rasdall Jr. and wife, Dawn, and Clifford “Dean” Rasdall, both of Shelbyville; daughters, Janet Dodd and husband, Jr., of Bowling Green, Melanie Miller and husband, Rodger, of Rushville, and Shannon Rasdall of Shelbyville; brother, Robert Ray Rasdall and wife, Lorie, of Bowling Green; and grandchildren, Tara, Ashley, Sydney, Colin, Bridgette, Brittany, Bryant, Whitney, Andy, E.J., and Sierra; and great-grandchildren, Amber, Jody, Cirrius, Cameron, Trynitte, Tryntonn, Syrissa, Terrance, Syrena, Aniyah, Savanna and Claire.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Kenny was the maintenance supervisor at Heritage House Convalescent Center for 24 years.
He was a member of the Army National Guard and American Legion Post No. 70.
Kenny enjoyed fishing and NASCAR with Jimmy Johnson being his favorite driver.
He loved spending time with his family and the get togethers at the river and Lake Santee.
Kenny also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Allie and Chloe.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
