Kenneth M. Fromer, 90, of Shelbyville passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Major Hospital.
Born November 3, 1919, he was the son of Earl V. and Leona (Stout) Fromer. He married Ann McNurney and she preceded him in death in February, 1976. He then married Ada (DeBaun) Wertz on August 31, 2979, and she survives.
Other survivors include his daughter, Elaine Fromer of Greenville, South Carolina; step-daughter, Vicky (husband, Johnny) Roberson of Ezel, Kentucky; step-son, Monte (wife, Rita) Wertz of Waldron; five step-grandchildren; and sixteen step-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roland Fromer; step-grandson, Kyle Dudley and step-great-granddaughter, Mariah Dudley.
Mr. Fromer graduated from Greensburgh High School in 1941 and completed training in airplane mechanics in Florida.
He was formerly employed at Allison Aircraft, retiring in 1978.
Mr. Fromer was a member of the Masonic and Eagles Lodges in Greensburg, American Legion Post #70 and Forty and eight Club, both in Shelbyville.
He served in the US Air Force during World War II.
Mr. Fromer liked to restore old cars and read, he enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Robert Campbell officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
