Kimberly Susan Houston

Kimberly Susan Houston, 52, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at her residence. She was born July 24, 1962, in Beech Grove, to Robert Joseph and Doris Ann “Dodie” (Haley) Crouch. Kimberly is survived by her mother of Indianapolis; sons, Dakota Houston and wife, Courtney, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Shane Houston and wife, Ashley, of Shelbyville, Shawn Houston and wife, Laura, of Noblesville and Dylan Kimbrell of Flat Rock; sisters, Jennifer C. Patrick of Indianapolis and Elizabeth A. Leary of Waldron; brother, Robert Joseph Crouch Jr. of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Luke, Isaiah, Ethan, Emma, Ian, Aubrey, Sophie, Scarlett, Savannah and a granddaughter, Bailey, on the way; close friends, The Fab Five, Jocelyne and Kyla; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. Kimberly graduated from Triton Central High School in 1980. She was the branch manager of a finance company for over 10 years. Kimberly volunteered at Major Hospital and enjoyed working in the gift shop. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling and supporting charitable organizations. A gathering of friends will be from 2:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014 at New Life United Methodist Church, 6145 N 400 W, Fairland. A celebration of Kimberly’s life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the church, with Rev. Ben Biggs officiating. Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S.
