Kyle Patrick Clay, 24, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 in Dane County, Wisconsin.
He was born March 26, 1992, in Shelbyville, the son of Jeffrey Thomas and Cynthia Kay “Cindy” (Harrell) Clay.
Kyle is survived by his parents of Shelbyville; grandmother, Gladys Clay of Shelbyville; sisters, Amanda Bondoc and husband, Bryan, of Clearwater, Florida, Crystal Liming and husband, Greg, of Versailles, and Alisha Clay of Shelbyville; brothers, Michael Clay, Nathan Clay and Sean Clay, all of Shelbyville; nephews, Elijah Liming and Carlysle Bondoc; nieces, Madeline Bondoc and Hailee Clay; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Thomas Clay; and maternal grandparents, Meredith Ray and Patricia Ann Harrell.
Kyle was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 2010, where he played the trumpet in the band, and received his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in animal science.
Kyle was an assistant herdsman for Sunshine Genetics in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
He was also a member of Future Farmers of America, Purdue Dairy Club, a 10-year member of 4-H, and he loved being a Junior Leader. He also participated in a agriculture trip to Australia with the International Student Volunteers.
Kyle had a wonderful personality and believed in the following quote “It’s the little things in life that mean the most. Not where you live, what you drive or the price tag on your clothes.”
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville, with the rosary recited at 1:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 4218 E. Michigan Road, Shelbyville.
Interment will be at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery in Shelbyville.
