Larry Allen Hamner, 69, of Shelbyville passed away Monday, March 8, 2010 at Ashford Place Health Campus.
Born August 17, 1940, he was the son of Louie D. and Vivian M. (Lisk) Hamner. He married Sharon K. Bennett on June 16, 1961, and she survives.
Other survivors include sons, Brad Allen (wife, Kristy) Hamner and Bret Alan Hamner, both of Shelbyville; daughter, Laurie Ann Woods of Shelbyville; brother, Louie D. Hamner of Mt. Auburn; sister, Peggy Snyder of Mt. Auburn; six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pat Burns and granddaughter, Tara Ashton Phares.
Mr. Hamner was a farmer and truck driver, retiring in 1999.
He enjoyed genealogy and compling genealogical information with Heritage Trails and Shelby County Genealogical Society.
Mr. Hamner graduated from Mt. Auburn High School in 1958, and attended Purdue University for two years.
No visitation is planned and private family services will be observed.
Interment will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
