Larry Gene Arnold, 74, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at his residence.
He was born June 25, 1942, in Shelbyville, the son of Troy and Grace (Thornburg) Arnold. On June 25, 1987, he married Linda Mae (Williams), and she survives.
Larry is also survived by his sons, Nathan Andrew Arnold and Michael Sexton, both of Shelbyville, Troy Gene Arnold of Austin, Texas, Leroy Sexton and wife, Angela, of Greenfield, and Larry Edward Sexton of St. Paul; daughter, Jennifer Thurman and husband, Rob, of Shelbyville; brothers, Jack McDaniel and wife, Kay, and Richard Dunn, both of Shelbyville; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1960.
He was formerly at musician with various bands, he farmed, was a truck driver and worked in factories.
Larry enjoyed music and recording music. He played the bass, saxophone and taught himself to play the keyboard.
He also leaves behind his dogs, Mazie and Maggie.
Private family services will be observed.
Inurnment will be at Fairland Cemetery in Fairland.
