Larry J. Parker, 71, of Fairland died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at St. Francis South Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born Sept. 2, 1935, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Samuel C. and Beulah (Law) Parker. He married Mildred "Millie" Fulk on March 21, 1973, and she survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Vicki Ann Haggard of Indianapolis and Barbara Lynn Phares of Ohio; two stepdaughters, Evelyn (husband, Jim) Kilbride of Shelbyville and Pam (husband, Robert) Jones of Fairland; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Parker had been employed with Schumaker Brothers Paving and Construction for 18 years. He owned and operated Millie & Larry's Fish Fry in Fairland from 1991 to 1997 and again from 2002 until retiring in 2005.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Parker graduated from Boggstown High School.
He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 70 and the Varmits Club.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Broadway Chapel, 232 W. Broadway St.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
