Larry W. Goble

Larry Wayne Goble, 75, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at his residence. Born August 7, 1934, in Noble Township, Shelby County, Indiana. He was the son of the late Joseph A. and Bernice (Herod) Goble. Survivors include his children, Michael Goble of Spencer, Melody (husband, Andy) Hoban of St. Paul, John Goble and Joe Goble, both of Shelbyville; sister, Nora Ellen (husband, Walter) Harmon of Indianapolis; ten grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Wilbur Goble and Robert Goble. Mr. Goble retired in 1994 from the Indiana State Highway Department. He served in the Indiana National Guard. Mr. Goble had attended Waldron High School. He was a member of Lewis Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Goble enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching sports, especially Indiana University Basketball. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Saturday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services at 1 pm with Rev. Cliff Bunch officiating. Interment will be in Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery in Shelby County.
