Laura Yvette Jamros, 93, of Shelbyville died Monday, May 9, 2011, at Ashford Place Health Campus.
Born Jan. 25, 1918, in Chicopee Falls, N.Y., she was the daughter of Dalmon and Laura (Beauregard) Rivers. She married Mitchell "Mike" Jamros in May 1938, and he preceded her in death in January 1999.
Survivors include daughter, Andrea Baxter of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Laurie Helms of Indianapolis, formerly of Shelbyville, Robert Baxter of Napa, Calif., and Mitchell Baxter of Novato, Calif.; great grandchildren, Kelly Pflum, Katie Krise and Carson Baxter; and great-great-grandchildren, Lincoln Pflum, Leo Pflum and Amelia Boyll.
Mrs. Jamros first moved to Shelbyville in 1955, having formerly lived in Pittsfield, Mass., where she attended school; moved to Clearwater, Fla.; and later returned to Shelbyville.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
No visitation is planned.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 4218 E. Michigan Road, with Father Paul Landwerlen officiating.
Burial will be at a future date in Pittsfield, Mass.
