Laverne Reinertsen, 78, of Fountaintown, passed away Friday, February 11, 2011 at her residence.
Born January 20, 1933, in Bald Knob, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Leroy and Callie (Beavers) Merrell. She married Berger "Bert" Reinertsen on December 27, 1953, and he survives.
Other survivors include her sons, Roy N. (wife, Lori) Reinertsen of Mason, Ohio and Eric D. Reinertsen of Fairland; sisters, Gayle (husband, Jesse) Pieper of New Palestine and Virginia Anderson of Morristown; brother, Richard (wife, April) Merrell of Hebron, Illinois; and grandchildren, Meghan and Nicholas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Wilma Davis; and brother, Scott Merrell.
Mrs. Reinertsen was a housewife and restaurateur, having owned Lil' Town Restaurant in Morristown during the 1960s and 1970s.
She graduated from Morristown High School in 1950.
Mrs. Reinertsen was a member of the Morristown Methodist Church, where she was in the United Methodist Women and the Morristown American Legion Auxiliary.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Monday, February 14, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown; and from 10 to 11 am Tuesday at Morristown Methodist Church, 221 S. Washington St. in Morristown.
Funeral services will be at 11 am at the church, with the Revs. Susan Davis and Amy Artis officiating.
Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery.
