Lawrence D. Scott, 82, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009.
Born May 26, 1927, in Shelbyville, he was the son of John and Orpha (Babb) Scott. He married Lois E. Caldwell on December 15, 9175, and she preceded him in death on July 27, 2008.
Survivors include his sons, Ronald E.(wife, Phyllis) Scot, Kenny D. Scott and Jeffrey D. (wife, Donna J.)Scott; grandchildren, Alisa D. (Scott) Walters, John e. (wife, Amber) Scott, Angela B. Scott, Jake W. Scott, Trevor J. Scott, Somer L. Case and Travis R. Case; and great-grandchildren, Jade E. Walters, Keegan M. Scott, Keirsten M. Scott and Trenton R. Case.
He also was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Scott had been a cook in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion Post No. 70.
Mr. Scott loved the horse race tracks.
Private family services will be observed.
