Lawrence William “Larry” Morrow, 85, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Hancock Memorial Hospice in Greenfield.
He was born August 2, 1931, in Monticello, Kentucky, the son of Delbert and Vadie (Baker) Morrow. On April 5, 1951, he married his wife of 66 years, Charlene Wuest, and she survives.
Larry is also survived by his children, Diana Carroll and husband, Dave, of Belvedere, Texas, Larry Morrow Jr. and wife, Regennia, of Somerset, Kentucky, Wanda Morrow Williams and husband, Ross, of Cordell, Oklahoma, Linda Morrow of Shelbyville, George M. Morrow of Shelbyville, and Charlotte McCall and husband, Russell, of Fishers; sister, Alene Barnett of Monticello, Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Morrow; daughter-in-law, Kathy Morrow; four sisters; and two brothers.
Larry graduated from Monticello High School in Monticello, Kentucky in 1949.
He formerly owned and operated S & M Construction, prior to owning his own company he had previously worked for RW Berry Construction and RV Welch and Associates.
Larry enjoyed working outside, napping and other projects.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana.
