LeAnna Kay Simmonds, 31, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born July 27, 1982, in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of Mark Simmonds and Dedra P. (Lutes) Shippoli.
Survivors include mother, Dedra (husband, Mark) Shippoli of Morristown; her father, Mark B. Simmonds of Indianapolis; brothers, Jesse (wife, Candice) Simmonds of Birmingham, Alabama, Drew Simmonds of Maui, Hawaii, Quentin Shippoli, Tryston Shippoli and Thomas Shippoli, all of Morristown; sister, Lori Simmonds of Morristown; grandparents, Tom (wife, Kay) Lutes of Spring Hill, Florida; and boyfriend, Nevada Benedict of New Palestine.
LeAnna attended Morristown High School and had taken CNA and phlebotomy classes to further her education.
She loved to write and was extremely artistic.
LeAnna worked at Village Pantry as the manager. She had also formerly worked as a QMA at Riley Hospital for Children.
A gathering of friends will be from 5 to 7 pm, Monday, September 16, 2013 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
Memorial service will be conducted at 7 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Morristown Boys and Girls Club, in care of the funeral home.
