Leawana L.Carrico

Leawana L. Carrico, 86, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010 at Regency Place in Greenfield. Born March 20, 1924, in Rush County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Russell L. and Naomi (Cooney) Johnson. She married Clyde Johnson, and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1998. She married Earl Carrico, and he preceded her in death on April 28, 1988. Survivors include her sons, Larry E. (wife, Jerri) Johnson of Anderson, Richard L. (wife, Mary) Johnson of Lake Santee, Dale R. Johnson of Charlottesville; daughters, Janice J. (husband, Larry Back of Knightstown, Beckey S. Smith and Rita J. (husband, Curtis) Mark, borth of New Castle; brothers, Dick Johnson of Charlottesville and Ron Johnson of Indianapolis; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Russell Johnson and Bob Johnson; and grandson, Darby L. Johnson. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2 pm Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St, Morristown. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at the funeral home, with Mike Smith officiating. Interment will be in Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
